Gurgaon-based Zomato has launched the District app for its going-out business on Apple’s iOS platform, according to information on the iPhone-maker’s App Store.
The company is pushing to build the going-out segment as its third consumer vertical after food delivery and quick commerce.
In August, the listed company acquired Paytm’s events and ticketing business for Rs 2,048 crore to expand into this segment.
As per details of the District app, it is currently allowing users to book tickets for movies and live events, in addition to hosting the company’s dining out offering.
