UK to investigate Apple and Google’s mobile ecosystems

Britain launched an investigation into the smartphone browser market on Thursday, its second use of recently bulked up regulatory powers to take on tech titans.

The country’s antitrust regulator said it would investigate whether Apple and Google have strategic market status in their mobile ecosystems, including operating systems, app stores and mobile browsers.
