Bengaluru-based Swiggy has expanded its 10-minute food delivery service Bolt to over 400 cities, the company said in a statement on Monday. In its first phase, Bolt was launched in October in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune.

The massive expansion of the rapid food delivery service by Swiggy comes at a time when startups are increasing their presence in this area. Last month, Zepto said it was scaling up its Cafe business, through which it delivers a limited set of food items from its quick commerce dark stores.

Another 10-minute food delivery startup Swish, which operates in the Bengaluru market, raised $2 million in seed funding from Accel to expand presence within the city as well as to other tier-I locations.
