COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Jan. 7, 2025— Space Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 1983 as a gateway to unite the global space community, today announced that its Space Commerce Institute will launch Space Path: Space Business Bootcamp on Saturday, March 22, 2025. The all-day virtual program is designed for companies to create scalable and sustainable business models, enabling them to build a robust commercialization framework, identify opportunities for products and services, and take actionable steps toward new partnerships and market success.

The program includes live virtual sessions along with a one-on-one lightning session with expert instructors. Through these workshops, participants will explore the space economy; growth strategies in the U.S. government and commercial markets; securing customers and channel partners; and key aspects of cost structure, revenue streams, and investment. Using these new tools, participants will identify pain points and solutions to specific challenges to help them grow and achieve their goals.

Kelli Kedis Ogborn, Space Foundation vice president of space commerce and entrepreneurship, remarked, “To unlock the full potential of the commercial space economy, we must reduce barriers to entry and support companies at every stage of the space value chain. This will not only strengthen our industry but also create efficient and practical solutions, ensuring that space technology delivers real-world impact and sustainable growth.”

The global space economy is experiencing significant growth and is expected to reach $772 billion by 2027. This growth is driven by steady private and public sector investments, with commercial revenues accounting for 78% of the total economy. According to a McKinsey report in partnership with the World Economic Forum, by 2035, the space economy is projected to triple to $1.8 trillion, fueled by lower costs and wider access to space-enabled technologies. Companies can benefit from programs like Space Path to deepen their understanding of the space ecosystem and position themselves to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Participation is limited to 15 registrants to ensure personalized support and maximum engagement. Companies can register at www.spacefoundation.org/space-path-space-business-bootcamp.
