ShareChat: ShareChat appoints TikTok’s Nitin Jain as CTO

Bengaluru-based social media company ShareChat on Tuesday announced the appointment of Nitin Jain as its chief technology officer.

In this role, Jain will helm the development and application of technology across both ShareChat and Moj platforms.

Jain previously worked for companies such as Tokopedia, Gojek and, most recently, TikTok. He has been instrumental in building from scratch and rapidly expanding tech businesses by nurturing high-performing teams and leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, blockchain and modern development operations practices.

“Nitin is a global technology leader, with more than two decades of experience spanning multiple domains and geographies. As we embark on the next chapter of growth, his proven track record in scaling technology-driven businesses, combined with his expertise in cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence and big data, will be a game-changer for our platform,” said Ankush Sachdeva, CEO and co-founder, ShareChat and Moj.

Founded in 2015 by Ankush Sachdeva, Bhanu Pratap Singh and Farid Ahsan, ShareChat has social media brands such as ShareChat App and Moj under its portfolio. Investors in ShareChat include EDBI, Temasek Holdings, Google, The Times Group, Alkeon Capital, Moore Strategic Ventures, Harbourvest, India Quotient, Mirae-Naver Asia Growth Fund, Tiger Global, Snap, Twitter (now X), Lightspeed and Elevation Capital.
