The insurance marketplace said that the new company would be involved in the business of providing healthcare services.
PB Fintech, one of the major insurance distributors in the country, wants to get into healthcare to ensure better service for its health insurance customers.
During the September quarter analyst call, explaining the rationale behind this move, Yashish Dahiya, group chief executive officer, PB Fintech had explained that the aim behind this move is to address the major trust gap between insurers and hospitals.
He pointed out that PB Health would be in the business of acting as a bridge between the healthcare industry and the insurance industry. And Policybazaar wants to be a shareholder in this business to offer a better claims settlement experience for its own customers.
