Mamaearth: Mamaearth parent ropes in Lokesh Chhaparwal to lead tech and engineering

Honasa Consumer, the parent of beauty and personal care brand Mamaearth, on Monday said it has appointed Lokesh Chhaparwal as senior vice president- Technology and Engineering.

Chhaparwal joins Honasa with over 13 years of experience in product engineering, data strategy, and innovation. Prior to this role, Lokesh served as AVP, head of engineering at Snapdeal.

In this new role, he will be looking at Honasa’s technological strategy, integrating tech solutions to support its consumer base. According to the company, He will be overseeing expansion of digital platforms like websites and apps, optimising supply chain processes through SAP systems, and advancing marketing technologies.

Chhaparwal will also be responsible for overseeing internal security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure operational efficiency, the company said.

On October 15, ET reported that Jayant Chauhan, chief product and technology officer of Honasa resigned from his position citing personal reasons.


This new appointment adds to the list of appointments in the recent months. The company recently promoted Vipul Maheshwari to senior vice president of product and data analytics. Earlier, it appointed Kaustav Guha as vice president of research and development to enhance its R&D capabilities.

In addition to Mamaearth, the Gurugram-based company owns five other brands—The Derma Co, Aqualogica, Dr Sheth’s, BBlunt, and Staze. It discontinued its ayurvedic beauty brand Ayuga in the April quarter.
