Mamaearth CEO Varun Alagh purchased 1.8 lakh shares of the company in November, according to NSE data. Sources said he bought these shares in two tranches for Rs 4.6 crore.

The move comes at a time when Mamaearth parent company Honasa Consumer’s stock price took a beating post poor Q2 results and the company facing challenges with its offline distribution channel. As of September 30, Alagh owned 10.35 crore shares, which has now increased to 10.37 lakh shares.

The promoters of the company, including cofounder Ghazal Alagh and the founders’ family members own a 35% stake in the firm.
