Biswas will closely work with Flipkart senior vice-president Hemant Badri for Minutes. He will start at Flipkart on January 13.
Biswas was in talks with Flipkart through 2024 when the Walmart-owned web retailer explored buying out Dunzo. ET reported on January 2 that Biswas has held discussions with Dunzo investors including Reliance Retail—which owns 26% in the firm—to leave the Bengaluru-based firm. Flipkart and Biswas immediately did not respond to ET’s request for a comment.
Former Dunzo executives, including cofounder Ankur Agarwal, are setting up new ventures in the quick commerce space and are close to raising funds from investors.
