Today, Amazon announced a new product in the Alexa smart home product line-up: the Echo Spot, which packs all the Alexa smart features that users love. Let’s understand all its features.

Display and apps

The Echo Spot’s 2.83-inch touchscreen display is designed with thought. Users can customize the look with six vibrant color themes—orange, violet, magenta, lime, teal, and blue—or mix and match these hues with a selection of unique clock faces to suit their style.

The Echo Spot features a 1.73-inch front-firing speaker that delivers clear vocals and rich bass, providing an immersive audio experience. Users can ask Alexa to play music, podcasts, or audiobooks from popular platforms such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and JioSaavn (subscriptions may apply).

The vibrant visual display enhances the experience by showing song titles during playback. Users can easily skip tracks by asking Alexa or tapping the display. For quick volume adjustments, they can use the buttons on the top of the device or simply say, “Alexa, volume up/down.”

Smart Home features

The Echo Spot makes managing daily tasks effortless by connecting with compatible smart home devices and enabling Alexa Routines. Create a morning routine that gradually brightens your smart lights and plays soft music to wake you up or an evening routine that dims the lights, turns on the TV, and starts your favorite show—all with a single voice command.Routines are easy to set up using the Alexa app—simply go to “More,” select “Routines,” and choose a pre-set option or customize your own. With Ultrasound Motion Detection, the Echo Spot can take automation a step further, turning on lights or playing music as you enter the room. It’s a simple way to add ease and personalization to your home.

Pricing and availability

The Echo Spot is available in Black and Blue through Amazon.in, Blinkit, and Croma’s online and offline stores. Priced at Rs 8,999, it is currently offered at a special introductory price of Rs 6,449 for a limited time.
