Louisville, Colorado — November 4, 2024 – EOI Space is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the first phase testing of our leading-edge, sixth-generation hall effect thruster (HET-F). The testing was performed on the flight version of our electronic propulsion system. This significant milestone not only meets but exceeds our expectations in performance. This achievement showcases the extraordinary capabilities of our engineering team and underscores our commitment to advancing space missions operating in a VLEO orbit. The comprehensive testing process was conducted at the University of Washington in recent weeks. We have moved to a larger test chamber at the University of Washington and look forward to seeing the results of testing at higher power levels. The thruster has proven to exceed the requirements we need to stay on orbit for 5-years.

“We are incredibly proud of our team’s hard work and dedication,” said Benjamin Tuttle, CTO of EOI Space. “This successful test is a testament to our deep-rooted expertise in electric propulsion. Our engineers have not only applied their extensive knowledge but also pushed the boundaries of what is possible, ensuring that our propulsion system is ready for the challenges of space operations.”

Leveraging a combination of advanced materials, cutting-edge technology, and rigorous testing protocols, the propulsion system is positioned to play a critical role in our upcoming missions. The system’s performance promises enhanced capabilities for our clients, enabling more ambitious missions, reducing costs, and increasing satellite lifetime through increased efficiency.

As we move forward, EOI Space remains committed to innovation and excellence. Our electric propulsion system is set to redefine standards in the aerospace industry, and we are excited to continue pushing the envelope in space technology.
